Winnie Goree is an excellent teacher and friend. She is a woman that is very passionate about teaching music. Ms. Goree treats every student as if we are her very on children. She is patient, loving and kind. I know when I go for my lessons I always leave believing in myself. She makes sure that she gives each student the best music that complements their voice. With each song I know that I have become a stronger singer and I am more confident in my vocal ability. With every challenge that she gives us she never forgets to give us the tools that will allows us to achieve the impossible. I must say that I honestly enjoy the time that I spend with her. Ms. Goree she has a heart that is like precious gold and more than any student can ask of a teacher. There is no doubt about when it comes to a vocal instructor Winnie Goree is the best in all of Atlanta Georgia.

 Tisa Wilson,

mezzo-soprano

As a student who was starting from scratch, I was initially nervous to begin singing lessons but by the end of our first session, I was completely at ease with Winnie.  Not only is she razor sharp with her teaching techniques, but Winnie really creates a positive environment for learning. She identifies and corrects your weakness so that you improve without feeling uneasy.   Winnie has helped my range, breathing and vocal placement. It is an excellent experience to study with Winnie and I am definitely growing as a singer.

I have known Winnie Wilson Goree for eight years. She is an outstanding member of my music program, as a soloist, leader and support staff working with various choirs and ensembles. She has an exceptionally fine voice, knowledge of vocal and choral literature, and works well with all kinds of people and sizes of groups.

Her performing skills are well known and she contributes much to our musical life and vitality. Her association with any musical group is definitely a positive. She brings knowledgeable experience and professionalism to her work.

She is dedicated to joyfully sharing music with others and genuinely loves teaching. Her voice is truly outstanding and her range makes her well versed in the literature and vocal techniques of both mezzo soprano and contralto ranges. This broad knowledge of course translates to male ranges, as well.

Winnie is dedicated to life-long learning and is constantly researching teaching methods, repertoire, and historic performance practices.

I value her as a music colleague and unreservedly recommend her to your as your voice teacher.

Sincerely,

Dear Winnie,

I’m writing you because I want to thank you for the progress I’ve made since I started taking lessons with you.  I had been looking for a voice teacher since I moved to Atlanta, and I hadn’t been satisfied with the voice teachers I had found, some of whom have large reputations and large studios.  Since the first lesson with you, nearly nine months ago, I have noticed a positive change in my voice.  I had fallen into bad habits singing without a voice teacher, and you have really helped me break those habits.  I also have enjoyed the support and encouragement you have given me in my solo singing work.  I’m very grateful that I’ve found you.  And as much as I appreciate what you’ve done with my voice, I also appreciate our friendship.

Cordially,

Allison
